How to attain peace of mind !

Dear Readers , 

Our lives today are marked by unprecedented levels of mental stress, tension and anxiety. They seem to follow us around everyday . How do we drive this tension and stress away? While we cannot do away with many of the situations and circumstances that envelop us , we can achieve peace and happiness by developing two important qualities ....



Enclosed here is a translated excerpt from the wonderful book -  Rishi Chintan Key Sannidhye Mein which gives us a path and direction on developing these two important qualities that can help us achieve peace of mind !

So let us read this short and translated excerpt :


"We are what we think ! Whatever we think about comes closer to us and begins to form the background tapestry of our lives. Therefore it is wise to think of thoughts that are positive and pure as they are the influencers of who we become in the future.

To refine our thoughts and purify them we need to cultivate two basic qualities -that of kindness and forgiveness. Kind thoughts help purify and refine our mind while thoughts of forgiveness help stabilize the mind. Without developing  these two emotional qualities we cannot truly attain peace of mind.

Good thoughts and good deeds towards others are our greatest possessions. They day we realize the importance of good positive thoughts and the strength & power that lies behind them, that day we will find a lot of answers to many questions and a lot of solutions to many problems. 

Good thoughts lead to good deeds and good deeds in turn reinforce our ability to think good thoughts. As we think the atmosphere around us gets impacted by our thinking and after sometime we find our circumstances changing themselves to reflect our thoughts.
Whatever situations and objects we thought about, we find that  those very same things are reflected in our immediate circumstances. 

Through thoughts alone we can achieve greatness or nothingness.Thoughts are the strength and force behind good deeds and behavior- the two are always deeply inter related."

Therefore in summary we find that most of the stress in our lives is our  own creation .The way we think drives our behaviour which in turn defines  the circumstances that surround us.
Therefore the best and most lasting way or solution to attain peace of mind is to change the way we think.......thereby changing the circumstances that surround us!
